Planning/Urban Design

Designing a new high-tech city surrounded by rocks and water tanks, close to Hyderabad was a challenge, as the constant expansion and fragmented ownership of land is a hindrance to creating order and flexibility in urban planning.

The aim was to allow maximum participation of diverse land owners of different scales, who were supposed to amalgamate and create an organised yet flexible building mass. To create social and cultural facilities through public buildings, the plan indicated large open spaces between two parallel high-speed roads that provide for unexpected future public facilities.

A totally new way of city planning for unplanned fast-paced chaotic urban growth.
