Residential
The program of the building is rather small: as per the brief of the clients, the extension adds a living area and a small informal kitchenette block to the ground floor of the main house, just off the existing formal living room and the dining room. With their strong connection to the garden the new spaces form the new heart of the home. Depending of the day and the season, the owners can choose to keep the glass panels closed and air-condition the space, or open them up and be part of the garden.Nearly all facade panels are movable, which allows the residents to choose if their space is part of the inside or outside, and adjust it to the requirements given by weather, season or mood. Covering nearly the entire south side of the bungalow, the extension is the new face of the building.
